Date: Sunday, November 24 Time: 2:00-2:30 pm Conditions: Cloudy, 45º Length of day: 9 hours, 24 minutes Organisms... Seen: Dead plants, trees, pheasant spooked in the bush Heard: pheasant in bush Felt: Leaves on the ground, prickers Smelled: Fresh air Changes that I noticed from my last visit are that all of the leaves were on the ground and there was hardly any noises except a few planes flying overhead. I did see a pheasant fly out of a bush I was walking by, so that was cool. The river was about the same height as last visit. Some pictures from this visit:

Date: Saturday, November 2 Time: 2:00-2:40 pm Conditions: Sunny, 53º Length of day: 10 hours, 13 minutes Organisms... Seen: Dead plants, trees Heard: Very few cicadas Felt: Leaves on the ground Smelled: Fresh air Changes that I noticed from my last visit are that almost all the leaves are on the ground! There was no critters that I could see or hear, and the river was a little bit higher. Some patterns to the leaves changing colors that I could see throughout these weeks is that it started slowly, but then they changed from green to yellow to brown so quickly. Also I could park in the parking lot this time! Some pictures from this visit:

Date: Saturday, October 19 Time: 12:40-1:10 pm Conditions: Sunny, 66º Length of day: 10 hours, 50 minutes Organisms... Seen: Plants, trees, squirrel running on path Heard: Critters running on leaves, distant cars, distant construction Felt: My dog and his slobber Smelled: Corn, fresh air Changes that I noticed from my last visit is that fall is in full swing! there was lots of fallen leaves, and orange leaves, a lot less birds chirping, and a lot less bugs. Also, unfortunately the parking lot is now under construction, so I had a lot longer walk today! Date: Saturday, October 5 Time: 4:00-4:30 pm Conditions: Sunny, partly cloudy, windy, 75º Length of day: 11 hours, 30 minutes Organisms... Seen: Plants, trees, bluejay bird on tree, a chipmunk on the ground Heard: Blue jay, cicadas, acorns falling Felt: Mosquitos Smelled: Pine, dirt Changes that I noticed from my last visit is that the flowers turned from bright colors to brown, and the leaves are slowly but surely getting less and less green. The river was at about the same level, but a little bit clearer than last time. Some pictures from this visit: I also took my dog along for the walk! Here is the sketch I made at my site:

Date: Sunday, September 22 Time: 5:45-6:00 pm Conditions: Rainy, drizzly, overcast, 70º Length of day: 12 hours, 8 minutes Organisms... Seen: Plants, trees, birds, a squirrel, a chipmunk Heard: Northern cardinal, Blue jay, Chickadee, Robin, Woodpecker, Geese, cicadas, crickets Felt: Rain, gravel Smelled: Pine, rain Changes that I noticed from my last visit is that the leaves are slowly turning color, and there was less little critters than last time.
